Question fuel pressure

This is my first post. I got all my gagues installed and operating fine. My question is the fuel pressure reads 9 PSI. at idle and about 8 PSI while driving at 50 to 60 MPH. If I put the PTM the pressure drops to just under 5 PSI and returns to 8 to 9 PSI when I let off, is this normal? I have 6700 miles in the truck.

Thanks for the reply. I had a 2001 prior to this truck, no fuel pressure gague, lift pump failed and damaged the injector pump (out of warranty) just wanted to be sure.

perfectly normal, common fuel rail system uses less lift pump pressures, 03-05 trucks.
