I just got back from the dealer and they said the same thing with my truck. They said that there were no reflashes for my truck. My build date was 3-04 on the door. Last time I checked I was getting 14 average hand calculated. I am getting real tired of this lousy mileage.

Reflahes

How does this work on a reflash? I get the impression that the dealer does no more than look at your build date and they determine if supposedly the vehicle fell within the parameters of vehicles that are suppose to have had the reflash. Yet at least one member told us of a tech who put his on the scanner and guess what,..no reflash had been done. So my question is when they put it on the scanner to determine if it has or hasn't been done do they also show any applicable TSBs for the same vehicle? These TSBs, as I understand info provided on this site, are not recalls, so if you just grin and bare it on all these little things we have problems with then nothing will ever be done. So do they match the TSBs with the vehicle at some point so if you push it then you could get some fixes? Thoughts/info.

I hate to ask but is there a place where I can get reliable TSB info on my truck? I keep going to these auto sites and bring the numbers to my dealer/tech and they look at me like I have 2 heads (no jokes people) and the tech is a super nice guy that actually listened to me about the daytime running lights being turned on by saying it is a Canadian truck.

Seems awefully suspicious to me that the one guy that actually had his scanned came up with needed flashes. Personally, I think a bunch of our trucks got missed, or there is a problem with DC's information system that is not reflecting the fact that many trucks need updates. I think the dealers are being lazy and trying to save a few bucks by just punching our VIN's into the computer rather than hooking up to the scan tool. Then again, maybe it's just because they're clueless and don't have the wherewithall to troubleshoot a problem from more than one angle. Just my .02

Im loving my truck except for the mileage, im getting 8.0 towing and 13.0 not. Im driving the truck under 60 mph and i don't know what to do.

The truck is a 4wd LWB A4 with 3.73s

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I had a few minutes so I figured I would post another update.

My truck now has 5,000 miles, and it is getting 19-20 MPG on the highway empty.

I towed for 200+ miles with a 12,000# trailer, 4 people in the truck at 85 MPH and still got 11.4 MPG.

I still think that the truck should do better, but I am not disappointed like I was.

I hope that my infor has helped at least one other person.

Jeremy
