Fuel Filter Replacement
#16
Thanks guys. I decided to go have someone else do it. Got my local lube place to do it for only $25 plus tax! I bought the filter from NAPA for about $22. If I had bought the filter from them and had them put it in they were going to charge me $130!!!! That's almost a 400% mark-up!!! Oink!!!!
You need to run a Baldwin PF7977 or an OEM filter. The Baldwin is the best available.

In addition with the BF1212 vs the FS1212, if you are going for filtration the FS is better, if you are going for f/w separation the BF is better. As the 1212 series is a f/w sep and not the final filter on any of our rigs it's installed on the BF1212 is the better of the two.

Cool thanks. And you further away from plano than I do. I will have to remove the NAPA filter and replace it w/ Baldwin. I had already had it put in by the time you responded. I'd rather waste $22 than have my engine harmed.

You need a Baldwin PF7977. I talked about the BF1212 becuase the link you posted was about the BF1212.
Pull that NAPA POS out and return it. If they ask why.. tell them that it doesn't meet specs per the Ram published TSB's and the published specs on the Wix website.
