fuel filter?

fuel filter?

just changed mine for the frist time 10,000 miles it had from the factory a fleetguard stratapore in it. i got a new filter at the dealer and its some cheap thing. i put it in but i will be changing it out soon. i am going to get all filters from genos. but i dont see the fleetguard stratapore fuel filter. only the oil filter.is that where everyone else gets theres?

this is the filter for your truck.... Geno's fuel filter.

Unless you have a separate filter, 7 microns is the best you'll get for the OEM housing. They used to be 10.

If you have a by-pass filter you an get extra filters here and many other places online.. Fleetguard FF 5320

strange that the part # dont match what i have and it says premium and not stratapore. i know your right that 7 microns is the best. so i will just go with that one.

I use the NAPA Premium filters and have had no problems with them. I believe they are a WIX filter as well.

whats so special about this stratapore thing? i see it for the oil filters and stuff like that. whats the differance?

thats a good ? . I dont exactly but i believe it a synthetic media. and is far better that your normal filters. just a guess.

i use wix filters also. fuel filter every oil change and 5g miles.

One special thing is that it's recommended by Cummins to use on their engines. I don't know about it being available for the OEM fuel housing but, it is for the oil. They put a lot of R&D into keeping their engines running a long time and filtration is a big part of making that happen

I got my fleetguard fuel filter from Geno's. But I got the 4-2-1 kit.
