fuel contamination

I did not know the insurance company would cover water in the fuel at all. Are you refering to regular auto insurance? i.e. comp and/or liability. Thanks.

Yup regular auto ins. since its not a manufacture defect the ins co takes over but its a pain in the***. Also get this the flush repair the ins wants to do will void all powertrain/engine warrenty so if anything I meen anything go's wrong with the engine, its coming out of my pocket=$$$$$$$.Im taking legal actions before they even work on my truck , so good luck to me.

A friend of mine had a similar problem with his 03. Finally dropped the tank to clean it out. After taking a look at the fitting on the tank and all the crud that was up there he put a hose on both fittings. Took this picture. Cleaned a lot of muddy water out of the inside of the tank. No more problems. This fitting is open and at one point was covered in in muddy water. Dealer blamed him for getting a bad batch of fuel. Dodge must think customers are idiots.
