Fuel additive

I know it's been asked but it seems to change often. What seems to be the best bang for your buck fuel add. these days? And what do yall think about the Amsoil add.? Any help is appreciated!

If you want bang for your $$$ Amsoil probably isn't it. Around here that stuff is spendy. Lucas is decent but also spendy. PS is popular (and what I currently use) and Stanadyne comes highly recommended by a couple of the injection guru's. If all your looking for is lubricity you may consider comparing prices between these products and just purchasing a case of 2stroke oil.

I use Power Services.
The verdict is still out if it's wise to use 2 stroke oil with a catalitic converter on the 05 and newer trucks so I just use Power Services.

I have run the 85+ Red Line and the RL2 Red Line RL2 quites it down more I have tryed the PS no diff MMO smells good no diff have not tryed the 2 stroke yet but got all my buddys doing it see if the have any problems before I try it they seem to think it helps but the biggest help was adding the glacier Diesel power fuel sys on the truck intake pumps must be junk CP3 must of not been happy. I would say alot of the noise is comming from the lack of fuel to the CP3

You're adding 2-stroke MO to the diesel? How much do you add? Any why?

Last weekend I started adding 30 wt. non-detergent motor oil (16 oz.) to a full tank. I'm worried about ULSD and lower lubricity. Costs about $1.00 per tank, so it's cheap insurance. I have read that 2-stroke oil can clog the cat over time, but NON-detergent motor oil burns completely and won't harm the cat. I may have seen a very slight mileage gain.

1/2 to 3/4 a quart per tank it makes it ALOT quieter and seems to be getting better fuel mileage.

p.s. i have no cat

I bought some non-detergent 10 wt in 2 gal jugs at Tractor Supply. They have it in 10, 20, and 30wt ND. Most people use the 30wt cause it;s easy to find.
