Howdy shipmate ? So chief, how long have you been retired and what did you do in the Navy? It's nice to see an ex-Navy man in this forum. I used to launch planes off the deck of USS George Washington. In any event, I thank you for the info in regards to the rubber gaskets.

There is 10 inches of snow on the ground or I'd go look, but doesn't the AAM Diff housing have the bottom drain plug like the AAM's that the GM products have?

Oh..Retired May 2002 ex IS and JO and FN...

I'm right at 7200 miles, so changing engine over tonight to AMSOIL 15-40w Synthetic and then change the oil filter (Stratpore) every 7500, and then oil change and filter at 15k...Still under warranty...

Oh, If anyone is interested Tire Rack still have the 315/70/17's for 117 each...including shipping and tax would be at 551.84 from Louisianna to Texas...But That's a big tire (65lbs) to move with 3.73 gears....ANyone have an opinion?

FBCB2?

What brand tire. Lots of people running 315/70/17 (34.7"). I have heard that the alloy wheels provide better offset for no rubbing, as apposed to the chrome steel.
