Front Pinion Seal Help.
I am in the middle of replacing the front pinion seal for an 04 2500 and I wanted to know if ne one had a suggestion for a tool to drive the seal. I originally bought a seal/bearing driver kit from harbor freight but that won't work because it is completely flat I need something to get around the spindle. Ne ideas would be helpful, btw don't have too much money to spend on a tool to do the job.

use a deep 3/4 drive socket
I drive my seals with a deep socket from my 3/4 drive set. They are usually about 4-5" long, have a nice flat area to drive on the edge of the seal. They are pretty massive so hitting them with a hammer produces a nice even force which equally pushes the edges into the housing. I think you need about a 1-7/16 deep but check several to be sure. They're hollow also so the threaded spindle fits inside without damage.
