With the front axle supported off the ground, I grabbed ahold of the tie rod, (link between the two front spindles) and rolled it back and forth. The curvature of the rod makes the front wheels 'steer' in opposite direction of each other ever so slightly. (to clarify; I don't believe the curvature of the link has any effect, but the angle of the tie rod ends in the link end causes the overall link 'length' to change)
Theory; with pressure from the steering box, a bump sets this link in motion allowing the front wheels to shimmy...???
Somebody check me out on this and tell me if you think it's possible, or if I'm seeing things.

I've got an Stock '04 with with only BFG's and it's got DW again. 1st time was the tie rod. It did exactly what your discribing. Once it get a little warmer, I'm going to have to check it. Have the Death Wobble SUX!

The hub conversion will do NOTHING for death wobble. The technical term for DW is caster shimmy. It usually comes from too little caster, but there are other things that can aggravate it, like out of round/out of balance tires, loose TRE's, ball joints, and track bar.

DW is a steering problem, not a driveline problem.

You might try a little more toe in........
