Front end "Klunk"

You can verify it before you buy. Just get somebody to turn the steering wheel back and forth on your truck, while it runs. You get under the front and look closely at the driver side track bar mount/bolt. You will see it move, if that's it.

I did the check and it doesn't move, I'm thinking that is probably not my problem thought. Fot the clunk it makes as loud as it is there would have to be over 2" of play I would think.

You guys might want to check the steering shaft between the column and box, there's a slip coupling in there to allow the shaft to collapse in the event of a front end collision and quite often they have a little play in them. Put some vise grips on the upper and lower halves and rock them back and forth, you might just find the problem. I worked at a GM dealership a few years back and we had tons of them with a knocking/clunking sound mostly on corners and off ramps. You could always feel it through the floor by the pedals and also through the steering wheel itself.

ive had this clunk for a while. I thought putting the 2" leveling kit was wearing out my track bar bushings faster than normal. I replaced them with the lazar smith bushings about a year ago, but they are already worn out. Any other suggestions?
