Front drive shaft grease

Yes, it has the fitting. Most dealers surprisingly seem to have no knowledge of this fitting, mine included.

I put in the effort to find it, and it's not my line of work, yet the mechanics who are trained experts don't give a **** to even try to find the thing... Ticks me off....
Most dealers have no knowledge that our seats stain, we have death wobble, the tires were recalled by Michelin, the blower door fails, or the blinker switch is defective.... But they sure know when an injector fails that we have bad gas, bad filters, or a bad pump, and when the rings break they know our engine is dusted.....

That picture is the best reference for finding the grease point, but even with that it's still very hard to find it. When I first tried finding it, it took me forever because the silver coloring of the eyelet was covered up with black grease. (If you unable to find the eyelet, this is most likely the problem, as at the least, all 06 to current MY trucks will have this fitting.) Also, it doesn't help that you may have to move the truck forward a few times in order to get the shaft turned to the right point to actually see the eyelet.

It's there... What I did was start my truck and just inch it back a little at a time and look under there. You can only see it when it's facing right at you. Once you find it, it will stick out like a swore thumb. It will make you feel like duh there it is... I marked it with a permenate marker once I found it. I went to Autozone and grabbed one of thier little neele fittings for like 4 bucks and pumped her full. She took alot becasue it took me until 40k to actually find it.

I've owned an 05 and an 06 and both of them had this type of grease fitting. If you look at the picture you will see a white dot on the driveshaft. The dot is not bird dung but rather a painted mark that shows you where to find the fitting. Both of my trucks had the painted white dot. I jack up the left side of my truck (front and back), chock the right side wheels, and put the truck in neutral. Then I get under the truck with a flashlight and grease gun. With the truck jacked up and in neutral you can turn the driveshaft with your hands while looking for the white dot. Once you find the white dot use a flashlight to look at the U-joint to find the fitting. If it has never been greased you might want to use a piece of sandpaper to clean the area to find the fitting. It is a pita but I'm sure you should be able to find it.

None on my 03, rebuilt the cardan a few weeks ago and had everything cleaned up. There is a vent hole but there is no way you could grease it when its together.
I wonder about the service interval since the movement is very slight, in and out as the shaft flexes up and down. They use roller bearings also and there isn't any rotational movement in the cardan.

I do like Fisherguy. Initialy it took me some time to find the fitting. I can find the fitting quite easily now, but it is a bit of a bear to get grease in there. Here is a picture after I greased it. The yellowish grease that you see is coming out on the back side of the fitting.
This is the needle that I use.
