I frequently used to ride with a guy who rode an xr650, and that thing was constantly having trouble on the trail. He has had about 10 bikes and doesn't abuse them, but man what a pita it is to ride with him. Maybe they don't like going thru 2 feet of water like quads do, but that one is certainly not 'bullet proof'. I will say he certainly blows by us on the straightaways though!
