fluid leaking, front drive shaft at differential

I just noticed that there is fluid leaking from where the front driveshaft enters the differential. Can anyone inform me to what the problem is? How involved to fix? The truck has 55000 mi so I assume the dealer will fix under drivetrain waranty? Thanks.

Most likely the front pinion seal has gone bad. I just had mine replaced - it had been weeping for almost a year. I have the extended warranty so it was covered. I have 68K miles on my truck now
