Fluid damper Install

I am about to spring for one and it appears that the install is simply remove belt, remove bolts, remove old damper (only held on by the bolts?) bolt on new one and replace belt. Am I missing something? I have in the past removed the dampers (gas motors) with pullers and they are a PITA to get on and off in tight quarters. I hav however looked in the Dodge Service manual and it appears that there is not a nose that goes into a seal, or a keyed shaft and it simply unbolts. Has anybody replaced their damper and had issues I should be aware of? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, it is that easy...it simply unbolts, and comes off. It is not on a taper fit, or keyed fit, or press fit like some gassers. It is heavy though!

You do have to put the belt around the balancer before bolting it up though.

Absorbs vibration from the engine.
It is bolted to the front of the crank shaft. Open the hood and you will see it at the bottom of the engine with 4 bolts holding it on and a belt around it.

Stock dampers are ok but thats about it. The Fluidampr from Horschel is so much better than stock its not funny!
