Fleetguard questions

Just be sure it's a Stratapore media filter. No sense spending $30,000-$40,000 on truck to try and save a couple dollars by scrimping on filters.

I believe the difference between the LF3972 and LF16035 is on is STRATOPORE media and one is standard CELLULOSE. Other than that, its the same. EITHER is better than a FRAM!!!

The ones I was asking about were 3937 which changed to 3970... not 3972

so is the fleetguard stratapore 3970 the right filter for a 2004.5 325hp 5.9 cummins?

I used a LF3894 in place of the 16035 a couple of times...I emailed Cummins and was told it is the same filter minus the flutes. Was a little cheaper.

d-roc is correct- i called cummins awhile back on this. the lf16035 and the lf3894 are the same filter. the 16035 is fluted and the 3894 is not-only difference.

the 3970 is cellulose if u want to save some money get the lf3894 its stratopore without the flutes. if u went to the dealer and bought their filter it would be their equivilent of the 3970.
