First trip with the Dually

Man , what a difference towing with a dually ! Handled my 46 gooseneck like it wasn't there.
Drove from Michigan to Fargo ND and back. Mileage about the same as with my 01 single
Encountered a problem on the way back with the empty trailer, top speed was 55-60 and dropped down to 45-50 going up grades. Stopped several times and did the hold accelerator to floor on off ignition 3 times slowly release pedal and it helped for short periods of time (get up t0 65 then in five or ten minutes back to 55)
depressing the accelerator pedal did nothing so am assuming the APS is bad.
Just before i got home, presto, everything is back to normal again ? Called my dealer from the road and he has a APS waiting for me to put on in the morning.

Welcome to the training wheel club! My wife has even admitted that she prefers the ride and the looks of the dually over my '03 2500! So if she's happy I'm (But I'm even happier when she's happy about something that I've done for myself! )

Is that too many happy's????

I've heard of others with problems with the sensor, but I haven't (touch wood) had any problems with it whatsoever. I've got just over 35,000 miles on her now and have been as far south as Key West, through the Rockies and in temperatures from -50 to +40C.

My only complaint is that the mileage isn't as good as my 3/4 ton was (but it was an SO and I just luv to drive this thing!)

Hopefully the new APS helpsyou out.

Ken

sure. I've had random dead pedal incidents for the last year, though it's been about 5 months since I've had an episode of such.

might want to check for that wire by the air conditioner compressor that rubs on it and causes a short which will do like your describing.
