Take a 5 gallon bucket and cut the top 1/3 off with a hacksaw. There is your catch pan. I run rotella 15w40 from walmart for $10/gal

I bought my Fleetguard oil and fuel filters for about $13+ each and 3 gallons of Rotella T 15W40 at Sam's for $30. Would've been close to $45 without the fuel filter.
