FASS or Air Dog

I am trying to figure the pro's ? con's for both, price, size, quality of kit and support, installation/instructions etc... also any difference in the noise level, I am planning to leave the exhaust alone (I think) and will not do more than a programmer/trans. upgrades. So basicly I dont want a loud pump.

Thanks for the input, Mike Bruns JBRacing.com

I would say get the Air Dog.

1. Lifetime warr.
2. I think the AD is still $499 for either the 100 or 150
3. Air dog is very quiet.
4. The Air Dog is smaller than the FASS.
5. If you have any questions just ask Mark
6. Directions are very good.

Also, any unit made in 2008 from us carries a lifetime warranty.

So which one uses locally easy to find replacement filters and not one's that you have to specifically order? Meaning, can they be bought at the local Cummins or truck stop lube shop generally?

Hello,

Rush Rider for a 2006 truck I would not consider removing the stock pump if you are using it as a daily driver and a light tuner. The LP issue is a problem for older trucks than yours or for HP levels over about 450 on your 06.

That's not true.
I can pullthe FP down to zero with my triple dog set to "extreme" (which is less than 450 HP).
Anyone adding any kind of chip or programmer should add something to get more fuel, unless they're okay seeing their FP gauge flat line when they punch it.

You are incorrect I turned 505 uncorrected with a smarty and a 64/13 STOCK LP. Fuel pressure went down to 2psi. Look at the motor difference in the photos that mark posted. The fass is a 200gph @ 50psi which utilizes a much larger motor. Filters can be replaced with Fleetgaurds Filters.

I'm not incorrect!

I'm just telling you what I see in my truck with my TD, 0 PSI.

... you're comfortable with just 2 psi?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^What Fisherguy said! With a tow module I can draw mine to zero in less than a heartbeat.
