Fan clutch ???'s On/Off Switch
I have a friend that went trough some water crossings in the woods while he was hunting and his wireing was eatin by the fan and then destroyed his radiator and had to towed home. I agree poor design.
What i would like to do is find out about putting a switch inline to cut the fan clutch on/off when needed, only at my convience, basically when i would cross some type of water in the woods. Let me please state that do not mud sling with this truck it is my daily driver.

I doubt it very much by installing a switch will stop the fan from turning. It is not a 100% electric, it is an electronically controlled viscous fan. The fluild coupling will still turn the fan. It's not a great design. There should be a better way to support the cable so it's not pushed or sucked into the fan blades.
