falls on its face on acceleration
ok, every now and then while on the freeway cruising along and then some idiot pulls out and I get mad, push on the skinny pedal, tranny downshifts and then it just falls on its face like I cut the fuel off or something. It happens for only a second or 2 then comes back to life. This has happened to me about 6 times now and is not regular. Can't predict when it happens but just happens. ticks me off. Anyone have an idea on what it might be. have nearly 15k miles on it now and it just started to do it about 1000 miles ago.

Don't hate me, but have you changed the fuel filter? Any codes? Turn the key on/off, on/off, on/off, on within like 15 seconds (not cranking the engine on any of them) and look on the odometer screen. It should read any codes starting with P and followed by 4 digits. Let me know what you find. There aren't any TSB's that I could find relating to your problem.

I aint no hater!! LOL!!
No I have not changed the fuel filter yet. On my list of crap to do this weekend though. No MIL lights and no codes.
It is strange. it is like I shut the truck off for a couple seconds and then turn the key back on (like when we was young and did that with a manual tranny gasser to make it backfire) and then it pulls like a champ. Pulls strong. Will change the filter and keep everyone up to snuff on this. Thank you for helping!

With no codes, that would be the first thing I would do. Other than that, try to pay extra close attention to anything else that may happen at the same time, asb light flicker dash lights of anykind do anything odd, anything that isn't "usual" It could be something like a loose ground. Sooo many posibilities! Might look over everything REAL close while you're under the hood this weekend. Move wires and make sure they are tight. Check battery terminals, anything you can put your hands on. Good Luck!
