About the modifier. Some Dodge dealers and others are saying to use it.Carson Dodge has their own forum site set up like this one. They say D.C. NOW say to use liminted slip modifer and say its stated in the 06 service manual.I don't have a 06 service manual so I can't check that statement.

Knowing the design of the trac-rite, I can't see how the additive would help, but stranger things have happened. Having said that, I can't see that it would hurt anything either. Most you would be out is the cost of the stuff.
Throw a bottle in, and hook up your trailer and see what happens.

I put a bottle in.To see if it fixes it will take several hours of towing that trailer at interstate speeds. Was told that design of the 11.5 AAM trac-rite could NOT shudder but by jimmy it does and badly hot.I found another post by MAD DUC in the 6 month describing the very same thing I encountered.Do a SEARCH using the key word SHUDDER.

Me either. It is not in the fluid capacities section and it is not in the rear axle section.

My 2006 owners manual says "Do not use the limited slip modifier on the 2500".
