exhaust brake

exhaust brake

i was wondering if a brake off a 02 would work on a 04 its just the oem one from the dealership thanks

No I don't think it will When I bought my 03 I had to wait for the Jacobs brake that was designed for the common rail engine 03 and 04 are the same 04 1/2 and newer are different the difference is 3.5 inches on the 03 and 04s and 4 inch on the newer ones.

Actually the issue is the cast elbow on turbo. On the 03/04 it necks down from 4" to 3.5" and on the 04.5 and up they are 4" straight through. I do believe 02s are only 3", hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
