Engine sounds different at 12k
Just rolled past 12k the other day and now the engine sounds different. It's louder when accelerating around 1600-2000 rpm. It didn't start to do this until it hit 12k. I haven't changed anything on the truck either.
Could this be the Cummins noise I have heard so much about, or could it be something more serious?

Well that's good news! I can't imagine it getting better mileage. It already gets around 19 mpg running 75 . I wouldn't mind if it got a little better though!

The best thing is that lots of the performance mods we do actually help the mileage too!! I'm getting around 17mpg in the lovely DC area traffic. My truck is much louder than it was when new. I like it better now.....
