engine oil poll!!

I use Amsoil and a Donaldson oil filter in my rig. This is my 3rd oil burner and have had really good results with all the Amsoil products. Oil filter change every 4,000 miles, full oil and filter change every 8,000 miles.

I have used 100% synthetic for 20 years with the gas vehicles I have had. Now that I am looking at 3x quantity of oil at each change, I am thinking of blending, say 1 gallon Mobil 1 truck SUV with 2 gallons of Delo 400 or such.
I have read that a synthetic blend will give much of the advantages full syn, (but packaged blends for gassers are only 2-5% syn, overpriced for what they are). I'm not operating in artic or desert conditions, so I don't see the need for all the benifits of 100% syn.
I am wondering on the compatibility of the 2 oils, if there is any problem with them mixing fully, or any interaction between them.

Mobil Delvac 1300 15-40w. I was getting it at Wally World but seems they discontinued it. Now buy it at Autozone. I like the new style easy pour design. Mobil also eliminated the foil seal and now have the pull type plastic seal. 6 bucks and some change per gallon.

Rotella 5w-40 Synthetic. $16 at Wally World. I tried Delvac 1 5w-40 twice and it would burn a quart in my 05' about every 5000 miles, did the same in dad's 04'. Never even had dino oil do that before. With Rotella Synthetic it reads exactly the same after 7500-10000 miles as it did the day I put it in.
And please synthetic radicals, I don't want to hear the crap about Rotella not being a "pure" synthetic, save your breath, I don't care. It's still darn good oil and in my particular case has outperformed the holy "pure" synthetic Mobil/Delvac 1. Others results may differ....

05' QC/LB 4x4, G56 that spend alot of time with several tons strapped to its butt!

X2 on Schaeffer's 9000...
X2 on the UOA's of Schaeffers 9000
On another note, referencing the TDR oil thingie that had the guy rating the oil from blind analysis according to the additive packaging and their base, I found it interesting that Schaeffers was not included. By virtue of knowing and understanding the additive package in the Schaeffers 9000, and its base oil, I thinking it would have easily ranked #2 overall if not #1. The only thing that one could say against the 9000 is its lower overall TBN # which is in the high 8's. But after 20k mile oil change my UOA stated that TBN was still 4.9 so that is not an issue in my mind... high levels of zinc and calcium are present, and the highest levels of moly... and it is a patented type of moly that is more effective too...

Actually "DINO OIL" is misnamed because the dinos didn't contribute to the oil, it was the vegatation that was smashed over the years during the period of time they are presumed to rule the surface of the planet... Although it seems to sound cooler than saying, I use Ancient Vegatation Oil...
