Engine miss problem.

I have been experienceing an engine miss at low rpm (12-1600) combines with a slight uphill pull.

I have purged the fuel filter water separator but it still seems to have the stumble.

Any thoughts?

(I wont taint the comments with mine).

Also have a wired buzzing/pulated hissing/ticking sound when off or on the throttle at the same rpm range.

Re:Engine miss problem.

Maybe its a lousy batch of fuel. Nothing to do with water, but possibly lousy fuel.

Did you fill it up at your local/normal fuel pump? When did you notice the stumble? How many tankfuls has it been doing it?

Always buy my fuel at the same station and keep a milage log in the event I do get bad fuel.

That seems fine.

Miss is intermitten.
Difficult to duplicate (I cant do it).
Will have to see what happends over time.
figured someone would be able to put a finger on it right away.

Personally thinking lift pump.

Doubt if your compression is low, either.

Re:Engine miss problem.

Suggestion: Run the tank almost dry and then fill up. See what happens after that.

Re:Engine miss problem.

How many miles have you gone on your current fuel filter? It could be full/plugged and restricting fuel flow, due to age or a bad tank.. Just a thought.

Re:Engine miss problem.

Plugged fuel filter will cause loss of power, not a miss.

Re:Engine miss problem.

With these truck they will indeed misfire if the cp3 starts pulling vacuum for too long. Keep doing it and they will full on stumble and then if you keep it up they will stall. Just an FYI
