Question Engine Identification

I just purchased a 2003 3500 Quad Cab Shortbed and am trying to figure out what motor I have. I searched the site and even looked on the Cummins website but I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. I know its a 24V, but how do I determine whether its a HO motor or not? What are the stock HP & Torque ratings on this motor? I have the 6-speed tranny (which tranny is this?), if that matters. Thanks for the help and sorry if my questions are repetitive.

I'm no 3rd gen expert but a stab at it would be 300/555
Your post would probably get more exposure in the 3rd gen catagory.
I think the trans is a NV5600 (not a standard expert either )

You have a 305hp./ 555 trq. HO. the 6 spd only came with the HO. if you look on the driver's side of the black plastic valve cover you should find the emissions certifications sticker that will verify what I just told you. It isn't a california spec truck either(no HO's in california for '03)
