engine diagram?

Hey guys,
I have an engine out of a wrecked 06 3500. The water pump needs replaced and the powersteering pump too, both damaged during the wreck. there is an aluminum plate behind (what I think is) the timing gear assembly. Anyone know what all is involved in replacing this aluminum plate as it is also damaged.
Thanks, gunnie

if its the big plate behind it then thats the front engine cover. belive you have to pull the pulley off the front to get it off, but it can be replaced, probably thru cummins

I took the front engine cover off the one that allows access to the injector pump gear and all the timing gears. The bottom of this plate serves as the oil pan front mounting locator. I popped off the injector pump gear and it looks like I either have to pull the front cam gear or pull the whole cam. I should then have access to pull this aluminum plate to replace it. any suggestions on pulling cam or cam gear?

Money well spent would be to buy a shop service manual.

Unless Cummins changed the design you will need to pull the cam. The gear is heated then pressed onto the cam. Pulling and replacing is usual not an option in the engine.
