Engine code --p0243 Check endine lite come on 4 weeks ago. Stayed for one day. Turned key on then off 3 times stoping in on position. Code po243 came up. Next day no engine lite, good. One week later lites back. Same code. Stays on 2 days. Goes back off? Talked to Dodge dealer -diesel teck. He said some 05's had trouble with wastegate boost sensor wire. Tester showed 12 volts going to sensor 0 going back to ecm. Bad sensor? When signal from sensor does not get backto ECM truck will run but ECM will defuel injectors to keep from breaking any thing. I went to remove sensor, both wires were corroded ,one broke off 1 inch from sensor when moved. I figured it would not hurt to cut and splice the wires back together. So with some waterproof heet-shrink aircraft butsplice connectors and some wire loom cover full of hot glue we are back to making smoke!!! OOO Don't forget to clear the codes.

 

same thing happen to me, got mine covered under warranty though
