Engine Bog

My buddy has an 06 dully manual. He is runnig bully dog programmer, and lately when driving he is getting a bogging type situation under hard wot. He says it is most apparent in 4th gear and when he hits it, it starts accelerating, then the engine bogs a bit but pulls out and continues to rev and perform like normal. I asked him about draining the rail, but it is not and issue since it revs out of the hole like normal but bogs mid acceleration. Cant be a clutch since it is not reving up as if slipping. Not sure here, sorry for the long post, he also runs on the tow tune and performance most of the time. Thanks all.

Does the dealership do that. He has the premium package with oil changes and all that bs. I am not sure if they do the fuel filter with those deals.

the dealer could do it but save yourself the time, it takes 10 minutes.

Yeap, it is the fuel filter or air filter. Had something similar on my tractor. It was a clogged fuel filter. Must of got a bad tank of fuel one time.

Wreed, I worded that wrong, I was wondering if the dealer includes that in there package. I've done mine plenty of times but he hasent so I will have to show him. If the dealer has not done it, then my buddy has gone 51 thousand miles on the original filter!! Yeah I think we will start with the air and fuel filters and go from there. Thanks guys.
