Electronic Transfer Case Problem

I just bought my 2006 about 2 weeks ago. When I first bought the truck, I tested everything out on it including the electronic transfer case. Since then I had an aftermarket stereo installed, and just tried using the transfer case tonight. Now truck doesn't seem to leave 2WD. No codes, no other problems it would seem. If I didn't try to use the device, I would never know anything was wrong. Do you guys think the stereo shop didn't hook something up when they installed the stereo? Or is there something I don't know about these transfer cases?

Almost guaranteed. Especially since it worked when to you bought the truck.

Well here is my second question. Does anyone know a quick, easy, non-damaging way to get into the area behind that switch to see if it's still connected. Everytime I try to get behind the dash on vehicles I always end up kicking myself because I break something.
