EGT's Higher ?

I have 53,000 on the clock. I recently noticed my EGT's have been running higher than normal. Pulling my 29' 5er, EGT's normally run around 700-800 @ 65 mph. Last week they were running 800- 950 and would heat up to 1100 on a small hill or overpass. Today I pulled my tractor and the EGT's were running the same as pulling my 5er, 800-950 @65 mph. I run a scotty 3 cai, and cleaned it after I got back from a camping trip last week. This did not help. Today, pulling my tractor, I unplugged my quad xzt for the trip home and EGT's ran the same as with it plugged in. Truck is running fine, water temp normal. Up until recently, I had to really push it on a steep hill to get the EGT's to 1100. Now it will go to 1300 in no time. Any ideas? Could it be the cat may be getting clogged? I don't know where else to look.
Thanks Wayne

Check your charge air cooling system. If you sprung a leak anywhere between the turbo and intake manifold, your EGT's will go up and your fuel mileage will go down.

I checked the connections on my gauge. that's ok. I checked all the clamps on my air filter system to the turbo. Everthing tight. How do you check for a leak in the intake manifold? I don't see anything visable. Thanks for the replies too.

The best way to check the intake is to have an adapter to fit on the outlet hose off the turbo, and put low air pressure to it and it will show any leaks all the way to the intake manifold. That is how we check the intakes in the hi-way trucks.

The numbers you are seeing now actually sound more accurate for a stock 325 motor...

I would look and see if your intercooler is plugged at all...

You may also benefit from a injector cleaner...

I run Stanadyne Performance Formula in every tank. It has injector cleaner in it. How do you check to see if the intercooler is clogged?
