Edge MileMax Module

I bought an Edge Mileage Max module for my 2003. Long term I had been running 19 MPG, using the vehicle on board readout. After 2 full tanks after install, I am averaging 23 mpg. Just wanted to pass this on. I also note some additional peppiness in the 20-40 mpg area. I paid $279. But the product will pay for itself over time. Easy 5 minute install. Anyone else have any experience like this?

True mileage should be hand calculated, the overhead readout is fooled by the module and will read wrong.

Yup, the overhead(..ie lie-o-meter) will change, but it will be off. Hand calculate for closer numbers.

Indeed will plan to do manual calcs next few tanks through to verify. I think 5-10% improvement will be verified. I'll post in a week or 2.

I'll be interested in this... PM me when you get hand calculated figures. Do you have any hand calculated figures from before the install?

when i wasnt running my edge ez box i had the milage max on. doing my hand calc on several tanks of fuel i seen a gain of 1.2 a gallon. the lie-o-meter said i was getting about 3 more to the gallon.

on a good day on a flat road and no winds the milage max i would get 1.5 to 1.8 hand calc.

I had one and did not see any gain with it. If you want to know for sure then make sure you turn the truck off while refueling and top it off until the fuel is at the top of the neck and is not still draining down. Do this a couple times with the box on and a couple times without it. Then you will know for sure.....

I have a Quadzilla mileage box I just got but I don't know if I will even try it or just sell it. I currently run a Van Aaken C3.2 box that gives me a 1 mpg gain...

Diesel61. I left the overhead on, didn't reset for a year. And I averaged 19 mpg. Manual calc varied for me depending on type of driving of course. But in my "normal" driving, town and back, I always got 18-22 mpg, some seasonal change. I consider myself a healthy skeptic, but if I get 1-2 mpg improvement plus the peppiness, then I'm happy with the upgrade.
