Easier way to Swap Gears?
I've got 3.73's and recently put on 35's on my 06. I tend to tow a lot and I REALLY noticed a big difference in pickup both loaded AND unloaded. I had this issue on my 02 with 37's and an edge, slipping my converter all the time until I had 4.56's put in and everything went back to normal (relatively). I want to put 4.10's in this truck but with a wife and house payment I REALLY dont want to pay labor on a gear install this time around. Was wondering if there was an easier way to swap out gears from one truck to another in my garage, short of a full axle swap (which I still think would be easier than setting up gears). Thought I read something on here about it once, but after an hr long search I came up with nothing. Ideas?

I've done it twice in my mud truck and broken rear ends twice in my mud truck. :-)
I dont' think there is an easy way short of doing it correctly.
If you have the correct tools and instructions or know how and are some what mechanically inclined you should be able to do it. With that being said not everyone has the knack or patience to do it correctly.
good luck
