dually wheel spacers

I have a 2004.5 dually. I have just put in a skyjacker 5'' lift and i am looking for some feed back on the pros and cons on using a wheel spacer. What as well is a good size and brand if you are pro wheel spacers.

Depends what size tire you go with. Some run an 1 1/2" and others run a 2". I have run both and the 2" makes for a huge gap between the tires.I have ran sets from Motorsport Technologies and from Arrowcraft, the first being aluminum and the later, steel. No problems with either set.I steered clear of the cheap e-bay ones for fear of poor quality aluminum and not being machined correctly to center the wheel. Are you going to be staying with your stock wheels?Reason I ask, is for aftermarket wheels they can be made with a machined lip on the face to keep the outer wheel centered on the hub.

Thanks for the info. I am going to run stock wheels for now, but i am planning to go to an after market wheel next year. What size wheels do you run. The rims you were talking about do you have a site I can check them out on.

I am running the stock wheels with 285/70/17's. My friend is running the rockstar dually wheels with spacers from Motorsports Technologies. They have a machined lip due to the fact the rockstars have a larger hub opening diameter.Without the lip the outer wheel would be no-hubcentric(all the weight on the lugs).I have a set of 1 1/2" aluminum from them if you are interested but if you plan on going to aftermarket wheels you might want to wait and get them with the lip.Arrowcraft makes all steel spacers but will not machine them with the lip for aftermarket wheels. There's alot of tiny details and specifics that go into making spacers. If you want the long drawn out technical mess just shoot me a pm with your number and I will be more than happy to explain it all to you.
