With money getting tight, I am saving for injectors because I've got 101,000 miles on the stock injectors. Ive got rear tires that are getting thin and I have a friend thats giving me four 265x70R17's for free. My question is: do I need to space between thes tires since stock tires are 235's ?

i think 265's a perfect for stock rims and no spacers. not too small, not too big. that's what i plan on buying for my dually.

ive never heard that injectors are in need of replacement after 100k. my truck is stock + a towing/mileage chip and i dont ever plan to change injectors. ive assumed they will last as long as the motor.

injectors will not last as long as the motor. 265 may be a bit too wide and rub i know some guys are running them but cant remember if they had spacers or not. iof 265 were perfect then the last 6 dodge duallies i ve owned would have come with them from the factory

265's will fit right on a dually. I wouldn't suggest anything wider though. I have been running 265 swampers and mickeys on mine for 70,000 or better. Don't run any spacers and tires don't rub.

265 will fit fine there are guys running 285 without spacers but i wouldnt try it

This is 265's on my truck with a 1/4" spacer.You can pick them up at most tire stores or NAPA.They are only about $15 for a pair.I would recommend using them.265's will give your truck a wider stance.

I just, today, had 285/70/r17 on my dually. A 1/4" spacer splits them far enough, but im gonna get a 1/2" spacer after i find longer studs. I dont like the the bite the lug gets on the stud with a 1/2" spacer. Better to be safe than sorry. Can post pics if anyone wants to see them.

Let us know if you are able to find longer studs.I looked with no luck.I had 285's also and ended up going with an Arrowcraft 1 1/2" spacer.

So will 265's fit without a spacer? I am on the fence whether to get more 235's or step up to 265's as I am due for tires fairly soon.

Look at the pic I posted.They will fit and not touch but adding the 1/4" spacer is cheap insurance to gain a little more room between the tires.The lugnuts will still go all the way on with the spacer.If you look close you can see the spacer between the wheels.The gap is tighter than running stock tires.I tow heavy and have had zero issues with sidewall rub.

I would say so, but if i were you i would throw some 1/4" spacers on just for the clearance. Small price to pay to keep them from rubbin. They might not touch, but just a slight load (or a bump in the road) might make them. I got my 1/2" spacers for $25 and my 1/4" spacers for $20.

I had 4 285's and tried 2 of them before i bought 2 more. In the air they did not touch. Once I put the truck down they just barely touched. With 1/4" spacers i have a 1/4" gap.

My truck also has 235's, but when I ordered new from the dealer, 265's were an option w/ different tires.

Here they are. The tires are Goodyear Silent Armor Pro Grade 'D' Load range. LT 285/70/R17. Max cap on Psi is 65, inflated to only 52psi. I have a 1/4" spacer between them currently (giving me about a 1/4" between the tires with just the weight of the truck), with plans to find (or have made) longer studs in order to fit a 1/2" spacer to allow for more load.

I loaded the truck about 1200 to 1500 lbs today and they were just about touching (probably did on bumps in the road). Probably because i only have them filled to 52 psi, but 60 was just to hard of a ride. I know i will be at ease with the 1/2" spacers over the 1/4".

Plan on washing it tommorrow. I'll see if i cant get some better pics.
