My other CTD's didn't smoke(black) much when you threw a bunch of fuel at it. My stock "06" does, is this the product of more HP?

Smoke starts in 2nd gear @ 1800rpm, a 3-2 downshift really pumps it out....2500 rpm off the line fogs out 4 lanes

No fuel mods

 

If you drive with a real light pedal it helps to build up more. My 9 year old likes it when I "clear out the soot". Well I only do it it for him . I thought it was normal ( I hope).

 

Smokes like a trooper when I really get on it. puts a big grin on my face everytime.

 

Mine too, when I really jump on it from 3rd gear and higher, it will put some black stuff in the air. Don't do it much, but it is fun to clean it out once in awhile. Scotty

 

My 06 gives a pretty good Black Cloud of Death after running around the city with a light foot. My 3-year-old daugher likes to turn around on the interstate on-ramp to watch "the smoke". Otherwise, if it is up to temp. and been running for a while, it does not smoke much at all.

 

My truck stock is highway driven every day and it didnt smoke. I got a tripple dog from Bullydog and it smokes like a bug fogger on the Crazy Larry setting and a little less on the performance setting when you put your foot into it. I love passing convertibles.

 

Only if it's been excessively idling or I've been driving easy. Once I get on it, it seems to take a while before it "builds" up again.

 

Maybe a light smoke, but not very noticable. I bought the Bully Dog and now it smokes on command! I love it!!

 

Mine doesn't smoke much... yet. Just a little puff when I get on it.

 

yep the new megacab smokes a nice amount.
