Unhappy Does Lift pump = Fuel Pum 140 ? & P-0628

I've pulled some of my "update" info from an earlier post of mine at
HTML Code:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140359
that I really need some help with. I appologize up front if you've already seen this info, but others may not have.

This is the info I'm looking for help with:
"I looked at the receipt I received from the dealer's repair and I see this item:

FP-Number = 68003870-AA Module Fuel Pum 140

and the price of $390.85.

Is this the lift pump? If not, might/should they have looked at the lift pump at that time? I have to assume (I know) that they cleared all codes before returning the truck to me, so this code is new since their work of a month ago."

Any input on this appreciated.

Thanks for the reply annabelle.

I've just returned from a different dodge dealer than the one who did the original repair. Turns out that the
Code:
FP-Number = 68003870-AA Module Fuel Pum 140
is the lift pump module that now goes into the tank. So I guess the repairing dealer either did not remove the P-0628 code or my engine threw it one time and there was no further problem. In either case today's mechanic said there were no codes thrown within the last 180 or so starts.

So, his best guess is some type of actuator (I forgot exactly the name he mentioned) that is on national backorder. One was found at another dealership that they're bringing in over night. Will install it tomorrow.

He also suggested, while my truck was in the shop anyway, that I have the ECM flashed with a modification that is available. It helps do away with some white smoke (which I don't have). I'll do some searching on the forum to try to find out more info on this actuator.

I'll post again when more info available.

Well the truck still smokes like a banshee!

The dealer installed this part:
Code:
FP Number 5183245-AA Actuator $174.00
Also found no codes. "Performed injector test, also flow chart diag for engine smoke. Checked filters, air intake, exhaust and turbo for cracks, updated pcm with latest software, fuel delivery system. Suspect faulty EFC solenoid - Replaced and retested. Tested T-Stat for proper temps. Checked manifold heater elements. Intake air temp and fuel filter. Checking for before-after part #'s. -Delivered truck" (taken from my receipt).

They asked what Bosch fuel injector number had been rebuilt and installed. That number is 0986435503. I'm going to start a new thread on rebuilt fuel injectors to see if I can learn any more info on this problem.
