Does the G56 have a magnet inside, or just mag plug?
I tried searching, but didn't find what I need.
I'm about to change the oil in the G56, and need to know if there's a magnet in the bottom that you get to via taking a PTO cover plate off like the NV5600?
Thanks in advance.

every trannny should have a magnet in there to catch the small metal particals. when you drop the pan it will look like a spongy blob under that blob will be a ring thats the magnet. make sure you put it in the same spot when you clean it, the pan should have a small nipple to make sure it doesnt shift around

Thanks for the replies.
No pan, being a manual transmission. The NV5600 has a plastic square magnet, like a refrigerator magnet, that just sits in the bottom of the case. It didn't have a drain plug (you use a pto cover bolt).
I see the G does have a drain bolt, so I figured they may have just used a magnetic plug...
My G (and other's I've driven) seems to make a bit more gear noise than the NV did. Anyone else who's had both notice that?
