Do all 03's idle up when revved?

My 03 idle is weird. If it is at say 900 rpm and I tap the throttle it will bump up to around 1150 and the only way to get it to drop back to 900 is to put it in gear and lug it a little . so basically its like a carbbed engine, but tapping the gas won't bring it back down.

My 03 does the same thing if I take it out of gear at idle and tap the throttle the rpm's will increase a couple 100 or so and stay. I just put it in gear and ease the clutch out a little and it comes back to normal. I think it may be the quad box or diablosport programmer but I'm not sure.

my 03 5spd did that, if I touched the brake it usually came back down.

Mine idles at 750. Blip the throttle and it jumps up and right back to 750. The only time its higher other than cold weather is when I'm coasting to a stop in neutral, then its at 900 till I get below 10 mph or so. Seems normal to me.

My truck does this also. It never did it until I got the FCA replaced. I have never had a box or programmer on my truck, so that rules those out. I just ease out the clutch a little and it goes away.

That's also what mine did, but if you touched the brake it would go down to 750....although if you coasted long enough it would slowly go back up to 900...

hmmmm the brake thing won't work for mine.
But it is nice to know I'm not the only one. Mine has done it the whole time I have owned it, even when it was stock.

I had the same thing happen with an 03 3500 5spd 250hp. In neutral it will idle to 1k but if I turn on the A/C for a sec then turn it off the idle sits at 750 until you blip the throttle again then it starts all over. What gives?

My truck does the same thing. I also have a quad box and it did not seem to do it until I put it on. However I just recently installed an Air Dog 100 and it does not seem to be as bad. It still does it tho.

Mine will idle back down to 750, but sometimes the timing is slower or quicker. Normally when its cold its much quicker to come back down.

My 03 has an auto trans and idles at 750. Tap pedal and it revs up and drops back to 750. Only time idling higher is in winter when you first start it up. Then pop the pedal and it drops back to 750. Must be a thing with stick shifts.
