differences btwn 03,04 engines and 04.5 up

hmm, the date was march of 2004 (03-04). That sounds good then, when I bought my superchip they told me it was a 04.5 if it was 325HP model...

That would sound about rite then. as it is the 325hp model.

If it was made in 03 for the 04 model year than it was an 04. If it were made in 04 for the 04 model year than it is a 04.5. It's done this way becasue emmision changes happen at the begining of a calandar year.

If it was made in 03 for the 04 model year than it was an 04. If it were made in 04 for the 04 model year than it is a 04.5. It's done this way becasue emmision changes happen at the begining of a calandar year.
So if his truck was built in March of 04, he would have an 04.5, and that's why he has the 325hp tag (meaning it's a 600)...
