Question Diesel Kleen Fuel Additive

To the owners that use Diesel Kleen (grey bottle). Do you pour in the entire bottle? I see it says it treats 100 gallons for +3 cetane and 50 gallons for +6 cetane.

I poured in the entire bottle. Did I mess up?

It's easy to see I'm a newbie!!!

Any input would be helpful.

Thanks Jamie.

Your OK! I usually pour in half a bottle per tank, so I seriously doubt another half bottle will hurt. In fact, keep an eye on your mileage and see how much it improves. W/ half a bottle I usually pick up at least half a MPG. Kind of curious what a full bottle will do for the MPG. -Steve

I did EXACTLY the same thing the first time I used it. I sent an email to Powerservice and here is the reply I got:

We recommend a treat rate of 1-ounce of Diesel Kleen to each 3 gallons of fuel. In your case that would be about 13-ounces and if you were to double the treat rate that would be about 26-ounces. What you did was to triple treat your fuel, however that will not hurt or harm anything in your motor. We do not recommend triple treating. I would suggest that when you use about 1/4 of a tank go ahead and refill the tank with more fuel. This will get you back in line with a double treatment of your fuel which is completely safe.

If you have any other questions or concerns just give me a call at (800)643 9089 and Thanks for using Power Service Products.

Best regards,

Hope this helps.
