Unhappy Diesel fuel on everything

When I came out of work today there was a big spot under my truck. So I took a look underneath WOW what a mess. There is diesel fuel dripping off everything. I started it up and didn't see anything so I don't know where it's all coming from. I stopped at the dealer and they gave me a loaner until they can get it fixed. I hate driving that little Neon.

I had a similar experiance. I went to change the oil and found everything wet. At 1st I thought I had an oil leak but after looking at it more carefully, it ended up being the power steering pump. Now i have to take that in and pay to have it fixed due to my mileage. I wish it was cover under the powertrain warrenty.

Did you try to drain the water out of the fuel/water separator? If so, that could be it. It drips down on top of your front diff. And, make sure you close it off completely or you'll have a mess. Good luck.

I haven't drained the water seperator for months so it's not that but I still checked it. It might be the power steering fluid, I did notice that the arm out of the steering gear box was as far forward that was wet, and EVERYTHING behind that was dripping. I just assumed diesel because it had a green tint. My sense of smell doesn't work so wasn't sure. I know the coolant isn't green and the trany isn't green. What color is the power steering fluid?

Power steering fluid is usually either clear or red.

its the same oil as ATF so it depends on what was used.

Check the CP3 pump. It is right above the powersteering box and some people have had that pump leak.

Dealer called today and told me it is a fuel leak from injector #1 and they will continue to work on it tomorrow.
