My buddy had his cat stolen from his toyota pickup at his wife's work in the middle of the day today. When she drove up to the shop, I could tell by the noise it had be stolen. She didn't believe me at first, but the bolts were laying on the ground under the truck.

I was thinking this could be a serious problem for us due to the size of our cats. At least they are all welded in, so it is a little harder than a Toyota.

 

There has been a rash of cats stolen in my area over the past few months. Cops so far got a few people. Anyways, alot of the cats being stolen are off diesels. From what the papers say the thieves get more money for them. Lots of these have been happening at dealships or rental truck places. Its sad that people are resorting to doing this.

 

Nothing a battery powered SawzAll can't take care of.

 

The stealing of cats should drop of now that the metal market has dropped off. This has been a problem in my area too.

I took scrap from my farm in to the junk yard and got $4(yes four) for a 1,000lbs.
A month ago I would have gotten $120 for that.
Just an FYI

 

A few months back they caught a couple of people using a Cordless sawzall in the parking lot of a mall here in broad daylight.

I actually heard they get less money for a cat off our diesels than one on a gasser. Anybody confirm this?

 

I wonder how the feds would react???? It's safer in the garage.

 

I wish someone would steal mine then I'd have a good reason to straight pipe it!
