Did the one piece driveshaft....still jerking

Alright guys, I took everyones advice and bought the one piece driveshaft. This was supposed to cure the herky jerky when I pull my 5er. Hooked up to it today a guess what.....you guessed it. Still jerking forward and reverse. Really embarrassing. Figure I am fixing to spit the rear end out at any moment.
So what gives, is it the Southbend Con OFE???
Try to slip it, still jerks, probably worse.
Is it ring and pinion? Can feel a little bit of slop, sure this is not helping.
Or is it axle wrap? 35s probably not helping

Got a trip planned for Wednesday and now dreading it.

I'm not an expert on rear ends, but have you had a four wheel alignment? Is the rear square?

When is it jerking? At what speed or condition?

i also installed the 1 piece rear drive shaft and it did remove some of the rear slop, but didnt completely eliminate it. on a trip down south our ac went out, so of to a dealer it went, while there i asked if they could find where the slop in the rear was coming from. turns out it was the carrier bearings in the rear diff. one was completely shot, the other on its way out. the pulled it on a lift and showed me how much slop there was by having a guy shift from drive to reverse with the brakes on. hopefully that isnt what your issue is, but you could check to see with a friend you trust, it will not be as easy with a manual, but it can be done without a lift and some careful pedal control.

Jerks while trying to back up or moving from a dead stop. After its rolling forward its gone. Now backing up it continues to do it til you stop or slide out of your seat. Its horrible. I hate catching red lights or stop signs. Kids really hate it.

1.clutch just being grabby
2.axle wrap as stated
3.real gear slop

Other issues may contribute to the problem, but only one thing causes the herky-jerky... torque-induced spring wrap.

Traction bars are a great solution.

When backing up, it sounds like wheel hop. I've had this happen a lot in the field on sandy roads, I just burn the clutch a little. I know you can't do that all the time...

Traction bars, maybe air bags?

Air bags front and rear. Feels exactly like backing up in sand except the tires are not hopping, everything else is.

you have a 4x4 in your sig so Put the truck in low range when backing up hop goes away, let clutch out entirely. Semi's have the same problem if you try slipping the clutch or not fully engaging the clutch when backing up

It's your clutch Chattering!!! from possible Hot spots on your flywheel from slipping clutch excessively or rear main seal leak or third gear drag racing starts.. And you add Axel wrap into the equation. "Hold on kids it's going to be a bumpy ride"

What gear you starting out in? driveline shudder usually is short in duration and only happens from a stop. You might have a clutch shudder or Dual mass flywheel problem. These flywheels are know to cause severe vibrations and I have changed several because of that. Clutch grabbing and chatter caused by hard spots in the flywheel. How many miles on truck? Might be time for new clutch and flyweel.

Had the same problem with backing my horse trailer, especially on gravel. Glacier Diesel Ladder bars went on and "POOF" no more axle wrap. The leaf springs on our trucks are so soft. Improved the ride as well, I can fly over train tracks now and not bounce around.

I'm thinking axle wrap. Already have the southbend con ofe, so dual mass flywheel gone. Tried the 4 low reverse deal, still shudders and goes too fast when you let clutch all out.
Has gotten alot better with one piece dshaft. Only shudders for a second on takeoff now. Can only takeoff in low with the 5er. (tried first, think we all lost some teeth)
No third gear smokey burnouts, Don't think the 35s would let me anyway. And no rear main leak.
Still drives me crazy.
Also noticed at highway speeds when I let off throttle and get back on it truck kinda jerks like there is massive slop in driveline somewhere??
About ready to trade in on an automatic
