Do you guys really think that the 6.0 has tarnished the Ford name when you talk to Ford fanatics. I still see more Ford PSD's on the road more then any other. I think that if Ford put another POS engine in there people would still buy it and stand behind them. I know plenty of smart guys that still buy PSD's but turn their head when other bad mouth the engines.
Unless Dodge steps up its 4500-5500 game many agencies and contractors will buy Ford because thats what they have always had and need a F550.
Its scary to see how many 6.0 PSD's that are used by goverment, state, private, and county agencies that our community depends on.

My Gawd!...what an engineering and maintanence nightmare!
I think the days of "affordable" diesel ownership for the average "joe" are coming to an end.Including for Cummins and Duramax for that matter.
But I have never seen such a can of worms in my life....way worse than the 6.0L.
Time will tell, but these are extremely complex and complicated engines and engine management systems.Heck, the emission and fuel/exhaust systems are the main show now by far, instead of the engine being the main part.
My 305 555 is the first and last diesel I will ever own(well maybe not ).
I feel sorry for the guys that actually REQUIRE a diesel.
Some of us do, but alot of us don't.
Can you imagine buying one of these new diesels off the used car lot in a few years after the warranty has run out!
P.S. The rest of the truck is a beauty!...Just buy a gasser, if a gasser will do...it will be MUCH cheaper at the end of the day.
