Death wobble advice?

Ok guys,I had my first experience with the death wobble last night My truck is a 04.5 3500 all factory other than whats in my sig. It has 110,000 miles on it. I have been under it and everything "appears" tight, but I would like to hear from someone that can That has fixed theirs and what they did ? I don't want to start part swapping with everything on the market. I know somethings worked for some that did'nt work for others. Thanks for the help

I had it happen to mine for the first time at 50k miles. Replaced shocks with Bilstien 5100's and never had it again. At about 110k I got some popping in the front end and replaced ball joints, wheel bearings, and track bar bushings.

Mine was repaired by replacing all tie rod ends. I just experienced it again and I know this time it'll be the ball joints.

Are the tei rod ends erplaceable or do you have to buy the whole assembly?

I replaced the track bar bushings with lukes links bushing, it did it again last night. I guess I will try the steering linkage next? There is a little play there.

Ftltmp:

Sorry to hear of your problems with death wobble. Believe me, you are not the only one and I also had it BAD on my 2006 Dodge CTD CR and my Son had it on his 2004 as well.

Awhile back, we had a great thread on this very issue and it has a "STICKY"
in this 3rd Gen Section. Here is the link to our thread:

Good luck Sir!
