Yep, it was warranted, but it happened within the first year or two that he owned the truck.

It's either the lift pump or the FCA on the CP3... You used to have to replace the whole CP3 if the FCA was pooped but I think you can get just the FCA now.

The FCA is available now and can be tested by unplugging the connector to it while idling, the engine should get noticeably louder(rattle more). Plug it back in and it should return to normal. If it doesn't return to normal, the FCA is most likely going bad.

Dan - you for sure need to find another dealer's door to darken!

Did you try unplugging the FCA connector?

The way they found mine was after all the other stuff got worked and Chrysler Star was out of ideas, I noticed a fuel pressure drop jsut BEFORE the stumble in RPM occured, and told the service manager the FCA could be sticking. He called Star, and they said pour a pint of 2 cycle marine oil into the fuel and see if it stops sticking. It did stop for that tank full of fule, but as soon as I filled up again it started stumbling again, so they changed the CP3 and no more problem with that. Hope you can test yours and get it fixed under warranty. I think the injection pump is covered under the 100K warranty.

Thanks, it sounds so simple. It really chaps me that when I asked to see if they could check it out for me they acted crazy - like it was going to cost me BIG TIME and they really didnt have time to look for it - like I was bothering them or something.
