I would tell them that they were a gift or something and that you want the Mopar ones as a replacement. I would also ask for something like a bedliner or something else to take away the pain and suffering of having to look at your baby all banged up!!!!!!!!

DC Steps are made by Westinh

The factory bars are actually made by westin from what I can see. The only difference I think is Westin warranties the bars for life where DC only 3year/36,000 and they have the Dodge logo on them.

Had an issue with my dealer a month ago. I'm a stickler about my truck and any slight problem I have with it, I let them know. They also know that you cannot snow me with BS and that I maintain my truck flawless. So this one time, I asked them to wash the truck after my service (if they had time). Once they got to it, for some reason the kid who did the job used a wash brush that had to have a butt ton of dirt or sand in it. SCRATCHED the crap out of my ENTIRE truck, mirrors and all the light lenses. (I did not notice this at the dealer beacuse it was under the service awning.) Got in the truck, drove the truck home and once under natural light it revealed a billion scratches. I was SO edit . Called the dealer right away!! Dealer said, there was no way we could have caused that with our brushes and that I will have to speak with the service manager tomorrow morning. Took the truck down at opening the next day and he saw the damage and said please leave it with us for a couple hours and they'd fix it. And explained to me that that this was'nt the first time the kid had caused a problem washing cars. And that they were very sorry for the in convenience. He also explained, that they had to replace the tail lights because they could not get the scratches out. Once they were complete, I looked over the truck and noticed a few light scratches that I decided to fix my self. Oh yeah, the kid no longer works there.

I feel your pain. I put tires on my truck at 978 miles and dropped it off the lift. 978 miles, and the bad thing is that it was my fault. It slipped off the axle and landed on the steering stabilizer and tacoed it. When I was setting the pads under the axle my friend said to watch out, those have a tendency to slip out from under these trucks. We both thought it was going all the way over.
