On the looks comment on the yodas, how much closer styling can you get to the Dodge?? I laugh everytime I see one of their commercials w/ the "My truck better be able....." blah blah blah. I have yet to ever meet/seen a farmer driving a toyota to "haul a combine" lol.

Yeah this is what you think, then you get the markup . In reality toyota has had more recalls than the domestics throughout the last decade.

Now... that might not be a bad thing if they are fixing stuff that needs it instead of overlooking it.

Anyway my 04 Ram 1500 Hemi didn't have one recall that I know of. At 63K miles everything still worked on it great like new. Only problem I can think of (and maybe it was just me) but i thought it started riding rough within the last year. It is a reg cag short bed with 20's and it was a handfull on the freeway if it got a little rough, I mean it rode really really rough like a bronco I'd bounce off my seat. The guy who bought it just came and picked it up a couple hours ago . I think it is getting screens and 22's according to what he said.

Wosrt part about Yotas is......just do a search on Toyota recalls. They tried to hide some dangerous issues from the consumer and got busted! Scary, really scary!

Toyota...never had a single problem with my 5....

The only reason I bought the Dodge was because Toyota didn't have a 2500.

Toyota, mark up or not, has the most reliable and finest quality built vehicles in the US. I have owned five,

My first car 1982 Celica GT, sold with 175,000 miles, never did anything but change the oil, guy bought it after me and last I knew had 250,000 and again, nothing but oil changes and routine maintenance.

2nd 1995 Toyota Tacoma, 190,000 miles ran like a top, blew head gasket replaced by manufacturer at no cost to me after warranty expired. Rear leaf spring pack broke at 65,000 replaced by manufacturer at no cost to me, oil changes and routine maintenance.

3rd 2002 Toyota 4Runner sold it with 40,000 to buy the Dodge, ran great no problems.

4th 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab, replaced #2, purchased to pull camper and since I got a new job. Couldn't pull the camper, not high enough GCWR. Recently traded in on #5.

5th 2007 Toyota Camry SE, awesome mid size car, rocket fast, great to drive, comfortable and will last forever, without a doubt.

I love my Dodge truck, don't get me wrong. However, in all my experiences with Toyota, I never felt that there was a problem that I had, that was the responsibility of the manufacturer that wasn't handled. I take good care of my vehicles and perform the routine maintenance or have it done, and have always felt as though Toyotas are superior to most other makes.

The fit and finish of interior components, the comfort level and the attention to detail are so much more refined compared to the Dodge it is ridiculous. My Tacoma had zero squeaks, rattles and pops when I sold it, my Dodge with 40,000 miles sounds like a box of Rice Krispies, different vehicles I know!

If a Cummins came in a Toyota, I'd trade today! However, it appears that Catepillar will be the engine for the Toyota diesel's to come out in 2009, I think.

Who did the work? Some OEM parts have warranties, usually 12mth/12k miles. I'm not sure how your Jake brake failure is related. I didn't think that was a factory option. I thought it was a dealer installed option only.

When can you get a Cummins in a Toyota? - probably never...

Traveling is a good thing. I have driven Toyota diesels in Australia and they are in a word awesome. We drove the snot out of them and they take it. The rest of the world drives Toyota diesels in horrible conditions and they do great. Never saw a Dodge in the outback. Please Toyota bring your diesels to the USA. I love my Cummins but the Dodge part worries me.
