May be an odd question . . . but anyone have any idea how you can find a nice heavy trailer to hook up to in order to help seat things? Anyone in the Kansas City area have a trailer and tractor or something I can pull around? Have had my truck for 6 months (only 3500ish miles so far) and haven't gotten to hook up to anything buy my 18' jon boat!

Sounds like you want to pay to haul?? It usually works the other way around they pay you to haul. Get a goose neck hitch if you don't already have one and put an ad in the paper. A small truck is easily worth $2.50 a mile if you load the **** out of it. Looks like a win win for you!

Could be a good idea . . . Sure my insurance man would love it! Haven't put a 5th wheel or gooseneck on this truck. Had on on the last CTD and never used it, so it's pretty low on my mod list - unless I somehow pick up a 5ver for camping

Why would the insurance man need to know. You have farm tags right? Get a flat bed and he will love you even more. Drops insurane by up %90 depending on who your carrier is.

MO doesn't support farm tags to my knowledge . . . and if we do you can probably only drive about 100 miles a year on the tax payer crap roads we have. Might be a good way to get to know a few more farmers and secure a few more bow hunting spots though

If your were hauling loads with farm tags, hopefully over loaded if your doing it right. You would use toll roads!? Come on man think out side of the box! In colorado if you have farm tags you don't need a CDL unless your hauling more than 150 miles from home. I'm sure that missiouri has some sort of similar law. Look into it. Maybe get registered in kansas if the laws are better, you have options if you really want them.

As much as I drive my truck I could register it as a historic vehicle . . . . that is if I could just change that pesky little manufacture date! You also might find this hard to believe, but we don't believe in toll roads here in Missouri either! There is only one to my knowledge and it's not even a road, it's a bridge across the Lake of the Ozarks!

In KY. If you have farm tags the truck cops can't really bother with equip. checks and you can pull a 40,000 lb. trailer with no tags or ins.(on trailer). leagaly.
I love mine.
